McAfee daily error - even though it's uninstalled!

Please help - every day I get this error:
McAfee SpamKiller Account Detector has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
Even though I uninstalled McAfee ages ago - can anyone suggest how to get rid of it? The error ocurrs every time I start the pc up.
Many thanks in advance for any suggestions, this forum has been great for getting my pc (almost) error free! :T
