Burrowing money for land ....

Hi
I saw your post and the usual downtrodden peoples replies and I just had to respond.
Dont let people say its not possible because it is! There is a great load of info on this site (stupid site wont let me add the link but google it!) Chapter 7 The planning office of the land is ours.
I will be purchasing land WITHOUT planning very soon and Im pretty much in a simalar situation with not knowing the best way to fund it.
Our plan is to buy land, live on it in a static and slowly establish a small holding whilst applying for planning. This is not in any way against any laws or rules. You can apply for planning onced you've moved on and the planners do not look down on applications where this is the case.
For the sheep that thinks its silly, have a good ol look at the link!
Of course its not simple, as like someone said everyone would do it. But it is definatley possible as long as your going to live a sustainable life and not have a massive impact on the ground.
We are all mearly tiny creatures in a huge universe, If you want to do something, do it!! The world will not stop if you fail.
Sorry I know I havnt aswered anything I just wanted to show support x x x0 -

if your piece of land does not have planning permisison for the stationing of a static caravan and you move into it and live there i'm afraid planners dont take this lightly and more than likely they'll have an enforcement officer round pdq to start proceedings to get you to move it. following that any further planning application for what is essentially a new dwelling in the middle of the countryside will be more than likely be resisted. i'll repeat again, if it was easy everyone would be doing it.0 -
I'm sorry my reply came across of unhelpful but I was only passing on my first hand experience.
I already own a piece of land which I inherited a while ago. It is impossible for me to get PP as it is outside a designated 'settlement boundary' although there are existing dwellings in the vacinity (and there was a dwelling on it until 1925 when it burnt down). The owner of the land next to mine did just as emopink13 is planning on doing - establishing a smallholding and duly stationed a static caravan on it last year. Sadly within a few months they were served notice by the council that they had outstayed their 28 day period that they were allowed to reside on the land. They have subsequently moved off and tend the animals on a daily basis.
I was just trying to make the point that the if you have a desire to live on your land as the OP indicated in his initial post, choosing the right piece of land is paramount.
