40% Amex discount at the Gap

Hi, does anyone know whether this discount, which I believe starts on Thursday, is open to all american express holders?

I was in there last week and asked one of the assistants about it, but she didn't have a lot of information. I know there was a thread on here about it recently but have looked and can't find it.

I have a Nectar card and got sent the following email:

However, I suspect it will apply to any AMEX card you may have.

Oh, and it is a 30% and not 40% discount.

It says it the T&C it is for the Nectar credit card so surely it is not with ANY Amex.

"Offer valid in the UK only at Gap, GapKids, babyGap, Gapbody and Gap Outlet when purchasing with a Nectar Credit Card."

Hi, this offer is for ALL amex cards.

Went in today and bought some things...doesn't seem to get reduced at till so asked staff about it, they went to ask manager who seemed to think the offer started tomorrow. Luckily I had the email with me which clearly states it begins today.

Anyway, they reckon that the 30% will be taken off by the card provider itself so should show up on statement as a lesser amount, however as a gesture of good will they took 30% off at the till so with any luck I'll get 60% off which would be great!

Thanks again to the original poster - I would never have found out about this offer otherwise.

Bangragal - I think the staff at the branch of GAP you went into were poorly informed.

This is a straightforward 30% discount at the point of sale when you pay using your AMEX card.

Since I have had my Nectar card this is the second time they have run this promotion.

I too have purchased a fair bit this weekend using this discount which makes a significant difference to the amount spent.
