Do Vanquis make you send them paper ID?

Hi,

I'm gearing up to make an application for a Vanquis credit card, fingers crossed I get it.

Does anyone know if they make you send off paper ID? I don't like sending this kind of personal info off to any more companies than I really have to.

I am now up and running with my Vanquis card (which I got less then 3 months post discharge). I didnt have to provide anything! I applied and everything was done over the phone and I got an email credit agreement. That was it. Have to say a great experience so far and pleased to be cleaning my file.

Hi just to add I have just been accepted for a vanquis card {filled in form online} then they phoned to verify details I was BR in 2010, I never did like credit cards pre BR {but my ex did, hence shedloads of debt left to me!}

However like yourself it is a good feeling to be able to rebuild credit, good for the self esteem. I haven,t had it through yet but will use for petrol or shopping and then pay it off in full each month. The scary interest rate is enough to ensure that it does :eek:

Thanks a lot, both of you! I'll be so happy if I get accepted. I hope that if I use it a little and pay off 100% each month, then a year or two down the line I can get a better card and keep rebuilding my credit history.

hisandhers1978 and minicooper1961 - can I ask, how long was it after submitting your online application form that you got the phone call, and how long after submitting the form did you receive your card in the post?

Hi Izzy,

It took a week from online application to phone call but the jubilee fell in the middle so I guess it would be about three days. Not got card yet but they said it could be up to 14 days. Mini x

I got my card about 10 days after the phone call :-)

What do they say in this phone call?

if you apply online, and they want to phone you, what do they ask in this ?

and why do they ask ?

just like to say vanquis credit card always accept most of the application, but please be aware of thire poor customer service ,if you sending any kind of ID or paper make sure you sending them by recorded delivery becuse they losing them easy ,i realy had bad experience with them ,they not treatinging the customers good as the other credit card do,
