Have a read of this from google.
Why not just pay the debt ?
From what i read of that yes they can recover the debt.0 -
If you leave the debt outstanding, don't ever set foot in Dubai again! They take a very very serious view of debt since money lending is technically illegal. I've heard of ex-pat families effectively evicted, deported and their assets seized to pay debts in Arab countries. You could find yourself arrested if you ever try to enter the country again.Debt Free! Long road, but we did it

From that article it states "But in the UK we can legally break your door down and if you resist we can get the police. They can set you aside and we can go in and empty your whole property.”
Where the hell do they get misleading info like that!? However, more useful advice in the last paragraph states:
"However, James Jones from UK-based credit rating agency Experian Ltd says they need not worry. “Credit report data is not currently shared across borders, so UK lenders cannot access credit data stored elsewhere. Generally, the only way for a credit history to follow a consumer from one country to another is if the consumer takes a copy of their own credit report with them,” he says."
IF a debt from Dubai ever did get chased in the UK, the DCA would HAVE to have a correct credit card agreement (CCA) from the original creditor...if they don't,(& chances are they WON'T) it would be unenforceable within a court... HTH, SF0 -
But still, DCFC79 asks a fair question. Why not pay the debt, if you owe it? That would be the right thing to do.I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.0

The "right thing to do" does not seem to figure largely amongst the ethics of many borrowers.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0
