Still Payed despite Leaving

Hi, bit of an odd situation. I left my old company back in December and have since received expenses and owed holiday pay, however I have also continued to be paid by them. I have informed them by going in to my old branch and by writing and have had to freeze my account and move all financial activity to a new bank in order to prevent further payments being received. This money is not accounted for on my P60 and there is no money being taken from the branches budget.
I have taken all action I can think of but to no avail. My question is three fold, firstly is there anything else I should be doing? And secondly, will the money be legally mine after a set amount of time as without them informing me of details I am unable to return the money? Finally, they money is currently being held in an ISA for safe keeping, is any interest gained on this money mine or could I count it as expenses for the trouble it has put me to?
I hope to get help soon.

You have written to them. Just keep a copy of your letter.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

Is there a number for payroll or head office you could call? Try your payslip, company website, your old contract, etc. Confirm what's said on the phone in writing.Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!0

Any interest earned on the balance would be yours

You will have to pay back the money once they contact you and ask for it back. However any interest you earn on it in the mean time is yours. So hope they don't contact you for a while and then you'll be earning free money

You've done all that you legitimately can, by the sounds of things. As DVardysShadow (who is always right about these things) says, keep copies of your letters/emails and a note of the date and time of any 'phone calls (plus the name of the person you spoke to, if it was a person and not an answerphone) and you have covered your back.
You've also done the wisest thing possible in putting the money into a savings account - there have been a number of threads on this forum in times past where bods have been paid extra (by a former employer or a bank error) unexpectedly, spent the cash and then found themselves in a right state when the eventual requests to return it come a-calling.
Best wishes to you. x0 -
You don't necessarily have to wait for them to give you details to return the money. You could send a cheque for the value you have received (actual receipts into your account - so net pay figure, not pretax) recorded or hand deliver it to the office and make sure a suitable contact is given it.
I think this would still be applied the 6 years no contact rule if you just wanted to leave it and let it wait until they noticed.
If you have a HR/salaries contact you used to speak to and you want to get this sorted asap then you could try to contact them by phone. Or try your old manager (or the highest person in management you can remember the contact details of and feel comfortable contacting).0
