This one is really good... I've been making it for about 20 years

    Cooked leftover chicken
    1 sliced cooking apple
    2 sliced onions
    1 tbsp butter
1 or 2 tbsp curry powder
    1/2 tsp ginger
    1/2 tsp cinnamon
    1 tbsp Mango Chutney
    1 tbps plain flour
    3/4 pint chicken stock
    1/4 pint milk (yes really!)

Fry your onions and apple in about a tbsp butter until soft then add curry powder, cinnamon, ginger and plain flour and cook for a few minutes over a low heat.

Slowly add the chicken stock and milk and bring to slow simmer. Add your mango chutney and finally chopped cooked chicken. Heat the chicken thru in the sauce and serve with rice.

    Delish.

(I have made this and added raw chicken at the end and just cooked it thru in the sauce, not as good as with left over roast but still very nice).

SORRY! I have just seen you were asking for biryani!!! I am leaving my recipe here tho as you might like to try it another time lol!

    I've been Money Tipped!
Mine is really, really simple - I like to use up odds and ends of veg in it!

Saute a sliced onion and any veg you fancy. Remove from pan
Put 1 tbsp curry paste in the pan followed by chopped meat if using (raw or leftover is fine, in bite size pieces), stir for a couple of minutes
    Add veg back to pan
Add rinsed rice (I do 150g for 2 people)
Add double the amount of veg/chicken stock as rice - 150g=300mls
Stir, put lid on and leave to simmer for 15 mins
    Stir and serve

It's especially nice if you get a few crusty bits at the bottom of the pan!

I love Biryani! Never made one yet as usually the huge list of ingredients is ... HUGE. I just collect the recipes for the future date when I do bother :)
