Dry Cleaning

Recently had to get my suit jacket dry cleaned here in Cornwall. As Johnsons seem to have the monopoly I checked the price with my local agent £13-14. Calling the nearest one in Truro it became £9.60. Anyway, popped into Tesco Helston and discovered that Timpsons the shoerepairer and key place also do drycleaning - jacket £3.99 or £4.99 for hand finishing. Went to collect it yesterday, and as I had to wait for a few mins for the man to return from lunch he charged me £4.00! Moral = check prices on everything.

Don't forget to try local places as well. I live in the ever increasingly expensive London. It costs me around £3 to get my coat dry cleaned. I do notice the difference, they have cleaned it and its not a scam! I have friends with similar experiences, don't forget to shop local. (Unless that is, your 'local' is around Mayfair!)0

I used to use Jeeves of Belgravia https://www.jeevesofbelgravia,co.uk cos they would collect and deliver to my office free of charge. Granted they aren't the cheapest but great service and fantastic cleaning. OH doen't work near a branch so he uses Johnsons Priority Club. https://www.johnsonscleaners.com0
