Fake tan recommendations please :-)

Hi all,

I'm hoping that someone may have recommendations for fake tan. I'm quite ridiculously pale so in the past I've found many look quite orange on me, and I manage to streak anything - even the 'unstreakable' holiday skin moisturiser/hint of tan products!!

I've not used fake tan in years so am after something easy and relatively foolproof. Lots of weddings coming up meaning lots of dresses and leg-baring - I managed to get a bit of a tan up top from the sun recently, but have just seen the pictures from the first wedding earlier this week and my legs are grey in comparison!!

If anyone has any holy grail/wonder products please let me know!

Thanks!

I use St Tropez gradual tanner/ moisturiser and it's great, my legs are generally White with a tinge of blue and this is nice and subtle with no streaks.

I am very pale too and have had problems with that orange tinge you often get from self tanners. I now use Dove Summer Glow for light to medium skin. This builds very gradually and just takes the edge off the whiteness. I use it to moisturise after bathing or showering and if I feel I'm getting too much colour, I'll use a non tanning moisturiser for a couple of days. Johnsons do something similar but it has an awful chemical smell. The smell of the Dove is much more pleasant.

I am very fair and rely on tan from the bottle! I use Fake Bake Body Butter it is dark to apply and the good thing about this is you can see where it is going. The colour is brilliant and everyone comments how nice it the colour is. If I am on a budhet I also use Dove Summer Glow but I use for dark skin even though I'm not dark it gives quicker colour. Good luck with whichever you choose.

I'm super fair skinned. The besti have tried is St Moriz mousse (about £3 on Amazon), it is basically a fake version of St Tropez. It was a recommendation from another thread on the forum a couple of years ago (I must remember to thank the op).
I've tried a few of the tinted moisturiser type ones (dove, Johnsons etc) and I found when I tried to top up the colour it went streaky but this gave a nice even natural looking colour.

I've tried about every fake tan under the sun,and although i can find some suitable for arms/body, the legs always still look white with an orangey hue

A few years back i had to do an emergency top up of fake tan on the morning of a friends wedding. The only stuff i could get a hold of was Sally Hansen leg spray. I was very skeptical as it's more of a leg make-up than a fake tan, but it worked a treat. My legs looked smooth and tanned - i'd use it again over a fake tan.

I have very pale skin, and find 'Fake Bake Fair' a great gradual tanner, which looks natural on my pale skin, easy to apply streak free, nice smell too

Are you using a mitt? I'm super pale too and had the same thing when I applied by hand until I started using tanning mitts - no orange paws and an even colour.

I'm super pale, another vote for st moritz - super cheap, easy to apply, and it fades really nicely too!
