Some help to not get into debt

Hi all,

Last year I got myself out of nearly £10k debt. All cards etc are cancelled and I have no intention of going anywhere near them again.

However since then a lot has happened, my mother passed away, my dad moved away (from London to up north) which meant I moved out and stayed in London.

I work part-time at the moment on a casual basis although I am looking for full-time work. However, I am on minimum wage and as its casual I dont always get a lot of work although I take whats offered.
On top of that though, my work keep effing up my pay (missing around 20 hours this week).

I need some help not to get into debt. I dont want to borrow money from my father, I'd rather get myself through this. I hate to be stubborn but I also do not want to go on any benefits, (at this point I need to mention I am living rent free at the moment) I was on JSA last year briefly and they cocked it up so badly I choose to come off it. I dont want to go through that again

I am registered to a few survey sites, and can sell a few things on ebay, but right now my work have cocked up my payslip so massively that I only have £70 for the next week to pay for food and travel.

Any idea's I've massively missed out? I should point out the majority of my belongings are up north until I get a place settled.

Are you a member or Dooyoo & Ciao? You get paid for writing surveys. I'm not sure on Ciao payouts but on Dooyoo at £20 you can get Amazon vouchers or £50 you can ask for a cheque.

Topcashback & Quidco - do the daily clicks, or look for ones where you get paid for doing free trials (just remember to cancel).

Have you got yourself a budget set up?

It's the work situation that's knackering it for you. Keep up the efforts to find something permanent and you'll be sorted.

For the next week, work out how much you need for travel. The rest is your food budget. There's no entertainment budget but hey, it's only a week. Then when you get paid again can you squirrel away a bit every week to build up an emergency fund?

    Good luck.

To be honest I dont have much in the way of entertainment anyway. If I cant afford it I dont have it. I need roughly £10 a day travel on the days I'm working, although I'm aiming to travel off-peak to reduce costs.

So, the way I see it for this week at least, the days I'm not working if I need food it can go towards that and if I'm working it goes towards travel and I just finish up whats in the fridge/freezer etc
