Whom do I bank with!

I have spoken to my bank and am waiting for their SOA form, Barclays have already reduced my payments and interest on the CC and the two egg ones, but whom should I bank with whilst clearing debts? The coop is my largest CC debt £14600 and Barclay card hold another £3700 and my two egg debts of £12000 and £4500. I applied to nat west but they turned me down! As did First Direct. I am going to start ebaying things and will try to make extra payments but don't want the bank to just take the money.

Hmmm..I was told by a bank teller that Barclay Card and Barclays Bank are two entirely separate entities....failing that...how about the Post Office?

It's a very basic account, but you can put money in, take it out and it's pretty insulated from all the other banks. We often advise those stuck in PDL revolving doors to open them and move their daily banking there so their money is buffered.

Pretty sure I've seen in Barclays current account T&Cs that Barclaycard etc can set off against them?

Wouldn't trust them not to regardless, anyway.

Me either, but that was the excuse they used when challenged as to why they had updated my address on my BC but not my Barclays Account causing me to incure fines because I didn't get the warning letters. When I changed my address, I was assured that updating BC also updated all Barclays accounts held. When I found out about the Barclays account going south at a great rate of knots and complained, it was shrugged off and I was told that they are two separate trading entities and they have no computer records in common!

Just posted on your other thread before reading this one. Not sure whether it's worth trying for the Co-op cashminder - I guess it could be worth a try.

Think Banking are not a good idea due to their monthly fees of £14.50 and set up fee of £25 - that's money that should be in your pocket and not theirs.
