Ikea sale preview for Ikea family members

Just went to my local Ikea today (Wednesbury) and there were posters up saying that there is a preview for the sale for Ikea family members 11th - 18th June. I'm guessing that the sale will be open to everyone after this, but Ikea family is free to join anyway :)
Hopefully there's some good deals because I'm moving out of my parents house soon and I have nothing!

Thanks for this! Do you know how the sale works? Is it online or just in store? And do you have to be invited or just show your family card?

Sorry for all the questions - we just got the keys to our first house today and would love some ikea sale bargains!!
Thanks to all those who post competitions! :T

Last year, we went to the store and the sale was amazing. We got a couple of Lack side/coffee tables (Oak colour). Original price was £8, sale price £1.47. These could be used in a living room, or as bedside tables. There were thousands of them!!!
There were lots of bargains like that so if you're setting up home for the first time, it's well worth a visit.

Should mention.....I think every store holds the sale on different days, so check dates before you go.

if you go onto the Ikea website, choose your local store, you should be able to see the sale tab and preview the prices already :).

I couldnt find the tab under my local store, but when i searched 'sale' I found it. Not much shown in Wednesbury but looking at other stores there seems to be similar products.
I dont think you need to be invited because there were a few signs about it. Im getting a little excited now haha
I hope you fellow MSE's dont steal all the bargains from me ;)

Huge thanks for this one, can't wait as I'm moving to a new house on Sat, I'll be at the sale on Monday! Would anyone know if the 20% off offer is on at the Milton Keynes store?

Got those as well, but the only ones left were the prebuilt ones, girl told me to take them to reductions and ended up getting them for about £1 each :T:T:T And didn't have the hassle of building them when I got home :T:T:T
