    There are very few people that cannot get a mortgage at all. Your situation is a good one, as you have a low loan to value and your partners been verty good with credit. Plenty of high street lenders would accept this, but as far as I am aware Nationwide are thr strictest!

    Nationwide will probably do it because your partner is an existing customer - that carries a lot of weight. If the only "adverse" was late card payments there shouldn't be an issue, probably not a concern to them.
