Wednesday 6th June - What small DFW things will you do today??!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym. :money:
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important! :T

Morning all
So I went to bed feeling fine and woke up feeling like death!! Flippin' colds!
Anyway, need to continue money saving whilst feeling sorry for myself!! So today:
* Check banks when they finally open and update my online!
* Check CC (shouldn't be any change as not spending on it!)
* Catch up on latest MSE news
* Remind OH to get to post office and post the PPI claim
* Drink lots of water to help feel better
* Hunt through cupboards for last season's cold meds and hope they are still in date!
* All meals from stores (thanks to very chatty man from Mr T's last night)
* Clean house top to bottom tonight as have landlord inspection tomorrow (work on the theory if it's tidy they won't put the rent up :rotfl:)
* Work hard, dreading it as I know I have some horrid phone calls to make, will get them over with first thing!
I think that's my lot today! Hope everyone is well

Morning everyone. Thanks sunshine22 for starting the thread
Not a good weekend for me. As regular posters will remember, my DW and I separated shortly before Christmas, and I discovered at the weekend that she has now moved a new bloke into her house. I'm devastated tbh. I only heard on Thursday that she had a new fella, then the following day the kids told me that he'd been living there for "a few weeks". She's only known him 5 minutes, and he's already living with her and my kids
I just can't move on. I cant even bring myself to look at a dating website or talk to someone in a pub (I'm also mildly autistic which doesnt help in that regard), and she seems to have moved on witthout a care in the world. My head can tell me that she's no good for me, but my heart just tells me that I want her back. I'm still crazy about her, no matter how badly she treated me (and she did, very badly!). I just feel sick, and also shattered cos I'm just not sleeping.
Anyway, having bored you with that, onto DFW things
Today I have/will
Made DS a packed lunch to take back to London with him
Made sandwiches for work
Free parking at local station then rail pass to work
Free newspaper on train

Quick update from me, I managed to do a survey, yipee! Usually I don't qualify for some reason but of course they don't tell you that until you've already spent 5 mins on it!!
