I do really like those shoes. What kind of fit are they? My feet are a bit on the wide side, I wonder if they do them in a wide fit...

My feet are also quite wide and they fit lovely - so comfortable! I know Next do wide fit shoes though, so maybe they do these ones in wide fit...

The shoes are lovely, you've got me reconsidering mine now!

For your biscuits, to make the yellow hearts a bit neater it's easier to use a piping bag and ice the heart outline around the edge, and then fill in with icing. It makes a sort of barrier so you have a lovely neat outline. Good luck with freezing them! I've never tried.

Thanks - I actually had done that!!! but I think I got over eager and didn't let the 'barriers' dry properly. Either that or the icing was just too enthusiastic or the barriers weren't high enough, because it squelched over them anyway :(

Oh well ignore me then!!

You do want to let them set quite well before filling it in, and they do need to be fairly high. Go slow with your filling in too. I always tend to overestimate how much it will take to fill it, and then it spreads out before my eyes with me going 'nooooo'

They look ace though. Your guests are very lucky!

    Love the shoes :)
The biscuits look class! Really want a biscuit now..... It's such a lovely touch, I hope they freeze OK, I can't imagine icing 80 biscuits will be soothing the day before the wedding! Had a wee peek at your cake woman and she has some serious skills! Very pretty.

Called into next while I was in town today to see if they had any wedding shoes to look at but nope. Bet I'll have to find a mega next to look at a good selection of them.

I've never seen any in a shop...I just ordered mine online and got lucky. I wasn't expecting the first pair I ordered to be perfect to be honest!

    So I had another go...

This time used a different recipe for the biscuits, a Nigella one, and I don't like it. It's come out tough and tastes salty (I knew 1 tsp of salt was too much!) and not as nice as the other recipe, so I'll just stick to that.

I think I've made the icing slightly too thick this time as it's not completely smooth, though it's still slightly wet in this pic so it is drying a bit smoother than it looks.

    Mmm, they're making me hungry!
FYI, I think the writing looks better with normal handwriting rather than all caps, as for the GROOM
