jdwilliams do some longer trousers, not many styles, but some and not expensive. i quite like their bootcut jeggings, with a long top/tunic they look like jeans but soo much more comfortable. stretchy enough for exercise/yoga.

They are a 35" the clothes classed as long are not the same as the tall range.

Does anyone know why they are discontinuing this range. I am going to email them to complain.
All high streeet shops have a petite but never a tall. It is not fair on us tall people who have to pay out on clothes from places like LTS and Tallgirls. Where is primarks for example. I am on a small budget and cant afford to shop in many shops. I went around highstreet shops years ago and asked them to bring in a tall range and the only ones who listened were topshop but feel they are too expensive for the quality. Dorothy Perkins is another shop that does tall.

I say all us tall ladies get together and shout tall discrimination lol

    :rotfl:

I have filled out quite a few new look surveys (after ordering from them) and ALWAYS tell them i'd like the tall range back! LAst survey I was asked to coplete was about the tall range so maybe they are going to bring it back? It's worth emailing them to add your name to the list of people who want it back.

Here's a fewmore, although they come into the price of LTS really. I think it's the middle one has a few pairs of jeans reduced to £20ish.
My daughter needs 36" inside leg & it's a total nightmare, as you all know. I did fund a great online shop a few years ago & bought loads for her but it closed, due to lack of business. Unfortunately they were so far down the search pages that people just didn't find them.
A lot of tall ranges still only go up to 34" which to me is just long rather than tall.

Maybe we could do with a dedicated thread, if there isn't one already for tall women & big feet.

I will send them an email and ask for the tall range back. I think there are a few high street stores that could do with a tall range in the stores maybe I will email them all.
  • I recently bought some long yoga/workout pants from Sainsburys for £8 - I'm a 34" inside leg and they are surprising long - found myself tripping over them at the gym! I was a bit worried about the cheap price, but they're very good quality, comfortable and stretchy, I totally recommend them :) oh, and they come in blue, grey or black!

Thanks everyone, I didn't realise there were additional responses, just had a peek. STILL not came up with anything online, had a good scour of ebay too, and emailed a few sellers.

I don't normally wear joggers but my ahem, expansion, probably helped along by anti-depressants and a more sedentary lifestyle (which I plan on attacking) means I'm in stretchy comfortable trousers mode. I didn't realise it was so difficult to get them!

With jeans, I usually plod along with 34" inside leg or head to Next for their Extra Long. I'll keep on looking!

I only have "express" type Sainsburys, but maybe I can wangle dad into having a look for me at his big store :)

Long Tall Sally had yoga pants buy one get one free in their sale a while back but I missed it :o
  • I'm mainly jumping on board for a grumble too. I'm increasingly frustrated by the high street shops producing a tall range, but not stocking it in store. DP, Next and New Look - all of them in the last year have reduced and then stopped stocking their tall ranges.

It actually puts me off shopping with them - I'm much more likely to purchase if I can go into a shop, try something on and take it away there and then.

Write and tell the stores - if enough of us get in touch maybe they'll listen?

Funnily enough, I remember where the New Look Tall range was in their Glasgow city centre flagship store...when I hunted for it earlier today they said, "We only do that range online now :(, but you can order it to the store and try them on here".

The irony is that 25 years ago, women my height seemed much less common than now. I notice my baby brother's (mid-20s), and even my niece's (early teens), peers are getting taller than in my day (making myself sound like Methuselah, I'm nearly 41 :p).

Had one small victory though. In TK Maxx I got Calmia yoga pants, quickly held them to my waist, checked the length, and paid £14.99.

On looking at the tags these are a weird idea, but a useful one. It says: "The Perfect Fit Yoga Pant...Simply cut our raw-edged yoga pants to your desired length to create the perfect fit"! If only more were like that! :T Might be worth looking in TK Maxx (can't see them on the Calmia site).

PS: Just tried them, I don't even need to cut them!

PPS: Anyone called petshopgirlemma is alright by me. I've seen them live three times and I'm still a HUGE fan :D

Calmia joga pants from tkmaxx are a great length they have had them in stock a couple of times over the past year. I check their website frequently to stock up. Gap USA do "tall fit" but the UK shops and EU website don't !

I am in praise of Sainsbury, I am a good 35 inside leg and have had two pairs of cotton trousers that are really long at £14.99 a pair.

I have long arms too and what a nightmare buying a coat! I have never really liked LTS, I am 60 now but as a young women found their clothes to be too expensive and cheap fabrics.

M & S £19.99 linen draw string trousers in Long are much longer than normal and sweep the floor on me.

Lands End trousers are 36" inside leg and turn up the hems to your own measurements but they are expensive but great quality and last forever. Lands End did a small range of Tall coats but never the full range.
