Advice on chat operator jobs

Hi there.
I hve been visiting this forum for years but now could really do with some advice myself.
I am desperate to make some extra money as I am having to move out of my home in 6 months and am interested in working as a chat operator. I have little quarms on talking dirty and think that this might be a way of earning extral money in the evenings. I have a laptop and a mobile, either of which I am happy to use for this work ( no webcam work).
My issue is that there are many companies and I have no idea which ones are safe to use and some ask for copies of passports etc.
I know that this is not everones cup of tea but I am determined to do this but I could really use any advice you could offer and any knowledge you have on which companies are reputable.
