I'm new to this. I have spent at both Gap and Gap Outlet as they were both lisred separately on the list of specials. Will I be able to get the credit back for both as they were listec separately as Gap and Gap Outlet. Panicking now as I only spent to get the deal. I'm away from home at the mo and don't have a gap at home so if I need to take things back I need to do it tomorrow before I go home!

Sorry for typos I'm using my phone-it's an emergency- I've spent £10 on two pairs of socks just cos they'd be free !
  • What do you mean they were both listed separately? It's one time per retailer so you'll only get credit for the first transaction you made.

They were listed as separate specials, with the names of the shops listed as Gap and Gap Outlet, as though they are separate entities. I've since been back to Gap Outlet and they don't accept returns from Gap so they do seem to operate separately. I doubt that will work in my favour though.

The Gap Outlet spend has tracked and I've received the credit. Pleased with that as it's the first time I've done it - been missing out all this time! That was the first place I went so will post again if I receive the Gap credit.

Out of interest, what happens if you return an item? Do you still get the credit? Does it get taken back? Can't see anything in the T and Cs about it. Just wondering as I may take the second Gap spend items back.

thats interesting purplestar....never thought about that. mainly because I have been buying gift vouchers and only use them if i need something at a later date. Like right now I have £50 harvey nichols...waiting for something i like. I also have £20 gap vouchers (each time i double up by using hubby's supplementary card and they both track- I must appear like a fool to shops buying 2 gift vouchers with 2 cards:-)
it saves though, I saved £20 in argos recently by this strategy.

Let us know what happens if u return tracked items ps...
  • LOL try going for 4 vouchers on 4 cards ;) Thankfully my local Harvey Nics were very understanding!
  • I am confused. So can I use the Amex offer for example the Harvey nichols offer twice? As in once in my November statement and then once again for my december statement

So I will only have one credit per statement? Is this possible . Or can you just use the offer once in that one store and that's it's regardless ??
  • No it's only once per offer - they had one earlier in the year and you're OK to use again this time around as it's a different offer, but it's (sadly) not once a month. If you have more than one Amex card though you can use it on each card as long as you sync each one with a different Foursquare account.
  • So for example, if there was a house of Fraser off in July which I used and it comes back again In December? Can I not use it?
