Need Some Advice About My Loan

I currently have a flexible cahoot loan for £6673.79 on which I have just discovered the APR is 14.9%!!! I obviously need to get rid of this but I'm wary of applying for new credit as my credit rating isn't so good.
I do have an egg loan which has approx £12k on it at an apr of about 9%. Should I apply for an extension of my egg loan by £7k so I can put the cahoot loan on it, or should I just apply for a brand new loan with someone.
(I can't check exactly what I owe on Egg as I've managed to lock myself out of my account and can't call them at work to change it)

If your credit rating is not so good then you may not get a loan at the best rates.
I would advise asking your bank first to see how much they would lend you and at what rate. If they are prepared to lend at a cheaper rate then it may be worth your while to shop around.0
