    I found MBNA were great - I currently have a large chunk of the old overdraft with them on 0% - I will wait a few weeks and try for others to get the whole lot transferred. I liked the web links you sent me too - I'll have a good look at those tonight. I think I'll look at the bank account with the £2,500 free overdraft facility that would give me so much less greif. I could always transfer my salary into that so that if anything goes completely pear shaped they can't 'dip in' to my salary as it were, I can just transfer the repayment amounts to the Lloyds account.

    It's given me lots to think about - thanks very much. It's great to read all your suggestions.
