We are on the Isle of Man and its only got one Boots, but am thinking of going across within the next couple of months for a break. Will be hitting on Liverpool or Blackpool, will just be avoiding the local store from now on, but my mum is kindly going to use up my remaining cards and vouchers. Will send her in with a shopping list:T0 -
Could you not go to another branch where you dont feel uncomfortable?
Before i was driving i used to just go to my little town store. I had a run in with an SA there. They were selling off madela electric breast pumps for £11 that should have been £44. I bought 1 and it sold on ebay for £30 within an hour. I saw an opportunity so went back down to buy another with my points. The SA enquired why i was back to buy another, so i told her. Just in normal conversation. Maybe that was foolishAnyway- she said i wasn't allowed to buy things to resell and refused to sell it to me. I had a moan and asked for the manager. He agreed that i could buy it- glad to get rid of the clearance stock- but the SA was really peeved. She fetched a red marker pen and scribbled all through the barcode and wrote on £11!! After that she did it to everything i bought- even shampoo and stuff....stupid c*w
 What the hell is wrong with these people? Anyone would think that reductions or extra points are coming out of their wages the way they carry on!! :mad:2008 gig list... Just remembered, I promised to follow up on a post I made last week....
Last Friday I tried to buy Davidoff Cool Water Game 30ml with a free sweatshirt instore and was refused. The SA absolutely would not budge on it and refused to even scan it claiming repeatedly that it did not work, she had tried it several times, would not waste her time trying it again etc etc
I rang customer services, who promised to ring me back on Monday afternoon to let me know whether I should have been allowed to buy the 30ml and get my sweatshirt...
... predictably... they didn't ring.
So, I rang them again yesterday and got confirmation that I COULD get the sweatshirt with 30ml. CS rang the store in question, told them to sell it to me and rang me back to confirm.
Lady at CS also told me that the store said 50ml was on offer cheaper than 30ml as 30ml wasn't included in the 1/3rd off offer
Went to store and of course the 30ml WAS on reduced price  (but I knew that anyway)
So, grabbed the 30ml and demanded my sweatshirt, which went through till fine (found lovely SA instead of Fridays lying evil horrible one!).
Paid £13 in points, although this did cause problems and she had to void the lot and scan the aftershave alone to redeem my points, obviously adding the sweatshirt to my bag without scanning it this time. Luckily I already had backup from CS that I could pay with points (although nice SA didn't argue it anyway).
Had to ask for No7 voucher, which again, nice SA was happy to give me although she was adamant they *shouldn't* be giving me one when paying in points. Educated her that CS say yes you should get one
edit:
Forgot to add... the SA was telling everyone in the queue that No7 342 started the next day (today now) and that we should all return for our bargains, lol.
Obviously I was thinking 641 and saved my No7 voucher, but having read the thread today I'll have to change my plans, lol.If a post is helpful to you, please take a second to click "thanks", it makes us feel all warm and fuzzy inside!0 -
I have just got back from Boots and can confirm that I got 6 reduced suncare items scanned and only the 3 for 2 kicked in, so as I didn't even have £5 voucher, I cancelled the transaction!
BOGOF seems to be still in place for all other suncare - just not No 7 range.
I did notice a group of SAs discussing a pile of new leaflets which had a 100 AC point voucher on the bottom and said something about "consulations" on the top. They were discussing the fact that it was only valid for specific dates in April.
Anyone know what this is all about?
hi,
i grbbed one when no7 sa wasnt looking, not sure if im meant to have it but
its for a free no7 skincare consultation and if you buy no7 moisturiser between 25.04.2007 and 22.05.2007 you get 100points

theres 750 extra points when you purchase 2 things! think this lot have cleared the mints and gum balls which were £3.50, so they should all have extra fresh breath forever :rotfl:All men hear is blah, blah, blah, blah, SEX, blah, blah, blah, FOOD, blah, blah, blah, BEER:wall:0 -
Actually anyone in London, don't forget this Thursday (tomorrow) is Canary Wharf's Girls Night Out from 6-9pm. Most shops offering discounts (probably not Boots though!) AND from memory there is an Origins stand in at least one of the Boots concessions there.
So turn up for 6, get your free goody bag and champagne from (somewhere in) the Canary Wharf shopping complex, check if any shops have great bargains, maybe even get some free makeovers or something, then check the origins counter to round the night off... am thinking of bringing a scarf or two so that if the goody bags are any good I can keep going back for more in multiple disguises. this website is a bad influence on me
oooh didn't know about that! will have to go and check it out. Is it one of the ones where you have to register beforehand and/or pay to get in though? And do you happen know if the 750 points with origins is in store too0 -
I am not sure if origins offer is instore as well as i dont even know if my store stocks origin. wheres happyshopper when u need her??!?
but if you spend £40 online you get 500 extra points and if u spend £50 u can enter a code to get another 500. so thats 1000 points which u cant get instoreAll men hear is blah, blah, blah, blah, SEX, blah, blah, blah, FOOD, blah, blah, blah, BEER:wall:0
