magnet save the dates

i have got some save the dates from vista print and i know there is a few of you that have also got them from vista print can i ask how you got envelopes small enough? or did you use full size one? are the small ones more likely to get lost in the post? the only ones i can find are the milk money ones which are the right size but have writing on the front. Also did you just put it in the envelope or did you write a note or decorate it in some way seems a bit boring. Did think that i could get some card with slits in to hold it and make it a little better any ideas?? i need some ideas lol

I got some florist envelopes from eBay, they're a little larger than the magnets. I'm planning on printing some note cards to fit in the envelope and put the magnets on the card. I was originally thinking of using some craft dots but after reading your post I think I'll cut some slits in with a craft knife. I'm going to put something along the line off "We would love for you to share our day" or something similar.

Why not use those sticky dots to attach them to a piece of card?

I got some plain white make-your-own cards from hobbycraft (came with envelopes) and printed 'Save the Date' on the outside of the cards using my printer. I bought some of the stickers (or could use double sided tape) that you use to mount photos in an album, and used them to stick them inside the cards.

Thanks for the ideas, we made up some Vistaprint postcards for free to put in with our magnets. They have a short message on, then a smaller version of the STD magnet to go underneath where the magnet will be attached. Then on the back of the postcard we printed where the ceremony and reception are gonna take place and said more info will follow in invitations nearer to the time.

Now I just need to find postcard sized envelopes! :rotfl:

I bought 100 small silver ones from
    eBay for £8 ish
The problem was I was worried they'd get lost in the post... So I ended up buying bigger ones to put them inside
Should have just bought the big ones!
