Hi everyone.
This is the first time I have posted so not not sure if this will appear in the right place?!
I am desperately searching for Lovells Milky Lunch Bars or a recipe to make my own variation for an 80th Birthday present for my Grandad, as I want to make up a candy bouquet.
However I cannot find either anywhere.... Please help me if you can!!!
Thank you

I'll shift your thread to the Old Style board, if there is a recipe to be found, they will find it for you.0

Milky Lunch. Gawd, I haven't seen or eaten one in about 50 years. They were my favourite sweety-treat when I was a nipper. Tasted a bit like a Milky Way but more chewy. *wistful sigh*0

Thanks guys, I've tried Bookers, Costco, Makro, the Internet...still no luck! Lovells was brought by a Turkish confectioner so I have even tried online Turkish supermarket!!! I am on the brink of giving up, but it's the only good idea for a gift I've had so I'm going to keep searching until the last minute!!!!!Grocery Challenge Target £400!!

If you'd like to try recreating them from scratch, this recipe comes well recommended (I've eaten the results, have yet to try making them)

You could try contacting this company http://www.mrsimmsoldesweetshoppe.co.uk/
We have one of these shops in our local town and I have heard people in there asking them to get different things for them and they seemed to be able to.0 -
Like the look of the recipe (my waistline wouldn't tho!!), but what would I sub the corn syrup with?Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These
(he points to some plastic cows on the table) are very small; those (pointing at some cows out of the window) are far away...:D:D

OP, have you looked in Aldi or Lidl, they may do a similar bar. I know they have their own mars & snicker substitutes.0
