Yes he is aware - last time we talked he said to do what I had to do & worst case he would then go bankrupt. Well that's easy for him to say but I cannot think of anything more frightening myself.
And yes I know that if by some miracle I can hold on & make any money (that should be for creditors anyway) he would be entitled to half of it.
But you guys have given me some food for thought - so I guess it's just down to me to do what I can now.

i am not usually on the side of the woman, but this guy sounds like a charmer.

Do you think he really understands it?
He could pay even more than half of the debts. If he earns more than you he will pay more.

Just wonder what he would say if you said you were going into rented accomodation and going on the dole. Cause then he would be paying most of the debt.

He is not a bad guy - it's all about punishment because I (after 6 months or so of hell which I am not going through on here) ended the relationship.
I have done my upmost to be decent & it still upsets me that someone thinks bad of him - but this is his mess too & I now feel he is just taking the p***. but , I made my bed so I have to lie in it (& no, there was noone else involved )
Anyway - he knows my income / outgoings and he knows his own . So on his conscience be it I guess.
Right - now I have pulled myself together - back to working out where I go from here :)

If I have read this corrcetly, you are paying over £100pm on tv, phone and BB. OMG!
I have all 3 with Virgin and pay £42pm! Could you not at least get a package deal to reduce costs?

Or to really save you could cancel Sky and get freeview. Take out BB only for a tenner a month and save hundereds! You don't need a landline. Just use the internet and Skype or instant messenger. Its more fun and you get to see the people you love :)

Your food bills are way to high. Compare supermarket prices online before you shop to get the cheapest price. Use online codes, coupons, always make a list and stick to it. Downgrade brands where possible. Take advantage of free home delivery to save petrol, when signing up as new customer etc. Always use loyalty cards, clubcards. Batch cook simple nice foods, lasagne, spag bol etc. Can last ages and quick to heat up after a long day.

I understand you want your kids to live a great lifestyle, but this is your home thats at risk! They will understand!

Sorry for this but - As for your ex... he really sounds like a ****** to me! He appears to not give a monkeys if you and your children are forced to loose your home. He needs to give you more! I would be in his face and making his life hell if I where you.

I really do feel for you. This is a horrible situation. I would def seek advice from CAB and anywhere else you can think of with regards to you ex and his share of the house/debts/money.

O and I don't get the 3 mobiles bit. Why 3? Are they all yours? Are they all contract?

Yes 3 contracts mine & kids (Christmas presents ex supposed to pay 1/2)
Tbh , am so completely out of my depth here I dont really know what to do. Finally , I agree , my ex is a ****** .... and it really hurts me to say that.
So , I will relay the above / maybe scare tactics are needed here. I have emailed shelter & Council again and will cut back where I can as already outlined. I will also take a few deep breaths - maybe I need to go back to 2nd job option?
    Thanks again.

Have been trying to do proper form but can't seem to format it on my phone (I will do this on work PC on weds)

    Debts
    Black horse (jt CCJ) £7600
    GE money (my CCJ) £1274
    Capital One £2268
    Littlewoods £1106
    Nationwide £8279
    Barclays Loan £9591

So aside from CCJs none of unsecured is being paid.
I will post proper formatted form as soon as I can use PC.
Waiting for Weds. On the debts, we need fullest information - APR, monthly minimums, actual payments, payments left to go and be accurate about what is secured.

i don't know what happened in your relationship however this is not rite. He should be paying half the mortgage and joint loans. Then maintenace on top. Then you both decide what to do about the sale/repo of house.
