Going away....

Hubby went abroad with work once, the first couple of days were awful, I kept almost starting to talk to him and then realising he wasn't there
. After a few days though it started to get easier, although our phone bill wasn't a pretty sight!

Lenny how do you cope?
Any tips I think my phone bill will be massive!Isn't the knowledge that comes from experience more valuable than the knowledge that doesn't?0 -
Rich, try and get yourself into a routine as quickly as possible - the quicker you manage to make things feel 'normal', the easier it will be. Obviously keep in touch with your hubby, but don't make your phone calls the only focus of your day, try and make some friends and settle into you new life as well. The internet is great for keeping in touch as well - will you have internet access where you'll be living? Would something like Skype save you money on calls? (I've never used it so don't know much about it, sorry)."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250

I'll have some internet mainly cafes until I can afford a new pc out there...
Skype is actually illegal out there as the telephone company is state owned, But msn and things like that should be ok.

My hubby quite often has to go away with work sometimes for a few months at a time. I have found the best thing to do is keep busy, and get into a routine. The evenings for me are always the worst. I have 2 little ones and another on the way so going out isn't really an option for me. Get a mate round.
I found emailing is much better for regular contact than telephoning (But that may be because I can't phone him, he can only phone me and then it costs a fortune). I think by email you can say what you really feel cos you can think about it more!
Good luck with your new life :j I am so so so jealousProud to be dealing with my debts0 -
