Unsure about Finance Company....
Options
Hi, I'm wondering if anyone can help...
I'm contemplating on buying a rather expensive camera on a reputable camera website that deal in UK models.
However, I have seen finance available by a company called Pay4Later which is 0% for 12 months in which payments are reduced the higher deposit put down.
This seems ideal for my needs and can afford the payments, but can't find any feedback about the company online (hidden small print that can have a sting in the tail etc).
Can anyone verify if this company is good to deal with? I just don't like it when I see "things are to good to be true"
Thanks in advance
Andy

I think they are OK to deal with. Make sure you carefully read all the paperwork to make sure the terms are as agreed etc, and stick to the payment schedule 100%.
Wait for a couple more responses just in case im wrong though please.0 -

OK thx for your input0 -
What is your credit rating like? Can you get a new card with a longish purchase O% rate?0

Without blowing my own trumpet I'd say it's the best I could get, never missed a payment ever, and regularly get credit cards for 0% balance transfers when making big purchases.
I was thinking of another 0% card but don't like paying a 3% fee again. That's when I saw this pay4later 12 month 0% loan, in which I was a bit dubious as to hidden costs etc
Thx

Never used or heard of the company mentioned, but no one gives away loans for nothing.
You are paying for the loan somewhere, most likely in the price of the product.0 -
They may be OK, but personally I steer clear of companies with silly 'textspeak' names.I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.0

Get a credit card with a long interest free period on spending - have a click on the Cards/loans link at the top of the website. Natwest/RBS will give 18 months interest free on spending. No need to pay a fee.
Don't forget to check you are getting the best price for the camera on

I have a rule.
If a company has what I like to call a "stupid name" I refuse to deal with them and suggest others do the same.
By stupid name, I mean "txtspk" or using numbers in place of words (Only Prince is allowed to do that) or if they have some cute/stupid name for money in their name.
I realise it's a bit of a strange rule, but it's never steered me wrong. If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything0 -
Text speak isn't silly to a lot of people now a days so avoiding silly names is just silly in itself.
Young people see it as normal, in fact a lot don't know any better.
Pay4later are used by a lot of shops for financing and I can't see anything that would make them suspicious, It will be a trading name for one of the big establishments, or underwritten by one of them.0 -

We'll have to agree to disagree on this one, I think. For me, someone who gives a name like that to a financial service is probably an idiot. They'd probably say the same for me for being so fussy, which is why it's great that both they and I are entitled to take our business elsewhere. If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything0
