More questions - please help!

hi all

Sorry me again, with more questions!

I recently went BR and my CO OP account is up and running. Despite giving my new bank details to my ex husband he still paid my maintenance this morning in to my old account. I went on line and checked and a creditor has taken a payment using the card and I now have a tiny bit of credit left!

Ive emailed my OR but what will happen now? I have a creditor that has taken a payment after BR despite me telling them on the phone and a bit of money in an account ive been told not to access, is this lost forever??

So mad

Hi...it's my guess that the creditors concerned will have to repay what they have taken.

Why has your old account not been closed down?
No, I don't think all other drivers are idiots......but some are determined to change my mind.......
  • I only went BR a few days ago so it's in process of being closed

dont worry to much, they must return the money if it was paid in after the bankruptcy date, it may take a while to sort out, but they dont have a right to get a preference. Speak to your OR who hopefully should be able to get it sorted out for you, in the meantime, speak to the creditor and ask them to return the payment, They may say no but at least you have tried then so you can inform the OR that you have done everything you are able to
