Wedding in Northamptonshire.. reasonable venue??

Hi everyone, I have just started looking around for a suitable venue for my wedding, we do not have a large budget but want somewhere special not too far away from where we and the majority of our guests live.
We live in Kettering and looking at all the 'typical' venues nearby, just to hire the venue is going to cost in excess of £5k!!! Then add on alcohol packages, catering etc etc, its going to cost a fortune, which we do not have.
I was wondering if anyone had gotten married somewhere near here and it not cost a fortune? Ideally we want to get married on a Saturday as one side of the family is travelling up from essex and one side down from Nottingham so we need to allow time to travel etc. We have approx 80 guests in the daytime and anywhere upto 150 for the evening so it needs to be a reasonable size.
Things like cake, photographer, dress, favours etc are not too much of an issue as we can call in favours and hunt around but there are only so many places you can have a wedding reception. Any advice or suggestions to alternatives would be greatly appreciated! thanks in advance

Hi,
We got married at Brampton Grange, Chapel Brampton a couple of years ago. Can't remember what the actual cost of it all was, but it was very reasonable compared to a lot of other places.0 -
I'm getting married at the Courtyard Lodge hotel in Stanwick near Raunds (I live in Thrapston) next year!
I'm just having the ceremony there and the reception back here in Thrappo.
The courtyard are charging us £300 for room hire (we're getting married in the new conservatory part) and then we have a 'drinks hour' straight after while photos are being taken with OJ/Pimms/Bucks Fizz which is £6 per head. They do offer canapes too but that's £12.50 a head and a bit out of our really small budget too!
They have been really friendly and helpful whenever I've had questions
