I don't drink it a lot, but do like it and plan on having it as a welcome drink at our reception.
Question is does any one have any recommendations?
Thanks.

dont buy it ready-made
also, it only tastes nice with croissants, scrambled eggs and smoked salmon, so unless you are having a wedding breakfast, rather than a wedding breakfast, id recommend keeping the OJ and shampers separate

Yeah, ready made ones tend to be very sweet.
Youd be better getting a dry-ish cava and soe decent OJ (not the value concentrate stuff)
Or Maybe get a nice prosecco (fresher & lighter than Champagne / Cava for reception drinks) and maybe do half with orange, half without.
Waitrose often do offers on this one, reducing it to £6.60ish per bottle, and it is delicious. http://www.waitrose.com/shop/ProductView-10317-10001-86791-Prosecco+San+Leo+NV0 -
I agree Bucks Fizz is more of a morning thing. Why not do Kir Royales instead of Bucks Fizz? It's just cassis (blackcurrant liqueur) and champagne and tastes fantastic, a great reception drink, really easy to make. You can do it cheaply with cheaper cava or prosecco, and do non alcoholic ones with Ribena and either Schloer or lemonade for the drivers.0

get separate fizz and OJ, mix fresh at the time..
my local Tesco have their champers down by about 1/3..Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..
Sometimes seen lurking on the compers forum :-)0 -

2 boys, 2 girls, bad singers, bad outfits, won the Eurovision song contest in 1981.
Oh wrong one!Sorry, couldn't resist.
I'd say it was fine for a welcome drink! It's what we gave our guests at 6PM. But then we were in Greece and it was a nice refreshing cold drink. Definitely but seperate fizz and OJ, as can spend as much or as little as you want on the fizz then.If you have nothing constructive to say just move along.0 -
If you are going for bucks fizz use smooth orange juice without bits in it as it horrid when it has bits.
other ideas for drinks you could have;
Punch (could even do a non-alcholic one)
pims (lots of different receipes)
cava (cheaper sparkling wine that champagne and a lot of people can't tell the different) and ginger syrup (like the ones you get in those posh coffee places) which you can get on line.:kisses3: Married 29th September 20120
