iv been away this week on a break with the kids and when i checked my emails i had won a a prize with toy shop uk but i had to claim by 5pm 31st may with was 48hours from me winning but i emailed back last night at 9.30pm and it had been offered to someone else. im gutted :( never mind hopefully june will amke up for it

Aw thats unlucky..
But as serious compers will say - even when away its worth
checking your emails, whether via mobile, internet cafe, internet tv, or even let a friend check them for you or relative...
When i go away I shall ask my parents to check my mail as will my partner, because as you've found out it can mean you forfeit a prize..

I think its harsh :mad:but there are many comps that go unclaimed, so all companies have to draw the line somewhere..

But good luck im sure you'll win something soon x

I agree its harsh and have missed a win myself because of this.. i went out that next month and got a Blackberry especially to receive my emails instantly whereever i am.. may seem extreme but being an avid comper i love to get my WEMs straight away!
