Default 6 years ago today - how soon will CRA remove default?

Hello.
A really quick question. I have a default on my file from 6 years ago today, 01-06-06. How soon will the various credit reference agencies up date my file and remove the default? Tomorrow, next week or 28 days etc?
Does anyone have any experience of this?
Thank you in advance! (I'll then have a clean file)

Experian/Creditexpert tend to remove them at midnight on the appropriate day.
Equifax often leave them visible for longer. Sometimes a few weeks. It's possible to complain to Equifax and get them removed sooner, but in a lot of cases it seems to take as long to go through that hassle as it does for them to remove it as a matter of course anyway. They should NOT leave them on there past the 6 year point, so may be worth complaining just on principle.
Can't speak for anyone else, but Callcredit/noddle have in each case removed mine about 2 weeks before the 6 year point.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Hi. Thanks for the info. I guess i'll need to keep an eye on this then. I'll post up the time scales for each agency.0

Experian removed the default. Equifax and callcredit still show it even though 6 years from default was a few days ago. Not worried but it should be 6years to the day, not 6 years and whenever the cra can be bothered to remove it.0

Agreed.
If Experian can manage it, no reason why the others can't.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
