What's up with this cherry tree?
It blossomed as normal, but then most of the blossom went brown and it's still stuck on the tree.
It's usually really dense with many leaves, but not as many leaves formed this year. The leaves that did form all have brown spots on, then they eventually turn brown and shrivel up but stay on the tree. It's usually laden with fruit too, but hardly any cherries have formed.
Here's a couple of pics:

Anyone know what the problem is and will the tree die?

Reckon frost. In my case it was gales & rain, kept the bees in, so all my lovely blossom was wasted, only 4 cherries on the treeWhen an eel bites your bum, that's a Moray0

I suspect the early leaf buds were burnt by frost.I'm not that way reclined

I can't remember if we had a frost or not

There's some cherry trees growing wild in the woods out the back of me. In a more exposed area of the wood they're dead like the one in the picture, but at the other end where it's a bit more sheltered they have leaves and plenty of fruit, so I guess it could be frost damage.
That's my neighbours tree and I really really hate it so I was hoping it was some kind of fatal infection

Most the fruit that set on mine is in a pretty poor taste due to the dry start followed by the wet.Tim0
