Bank holidays and SSP

DP has been off for a week ill and the doctor signed him off for another week so due to return next Wednesday. His contract states he gets 20 days annual leave + bank holidays and everyone is being paid next Tuesday as a bank holiday even though some say its not official.

Im wondering if he is entitled to full pay for these 2 days or SSP?

If it's covered by the certificate, which it seems to be, SSP.

Don't know if it works the same as normal leave, but would the 2 days be accrued for later?

If he is on the sick whilst the company is closed his 2 days should be taken at a later date.
