Best bet for the moaners is to start your own sites the. You've seen how it's done, just get on with it.

Im not saying the advisors on here are instrumental to the site or anything like that, but what would happen if the mortgage and financial advisors followed your suggestion and set up a site covering the financial sections on here?

I have a feeling it would just become a site to discuss vouchers and being frugal, with a lot of people who arnt qualified giving "advice" - just like this bloke down the pub i know :P

I never have been a huge fan of Martin, i think a man in his position needs to be careful about what he says as a lot of people take what he says as gospel, in my opinion he isnt always right in what he says....thats just my opinion :)

The problem with the Mortgage Advice that Martin gave out was that:
    a. it was wrong
    b. hes not qualified
    c. he wasnt accountable for it
    d. it was done without any regards for the clients circumstances

Aside from that it wasnt too bad, considering he managed to pursude the powers that be that it was journalistic research!

Not so sure about b. I have a feeling he is actually FSA registered (so he should know better!) with regards to c. I think he is accountable, it's just that he comes across with such arrogant confidence that his disciples believe he is right and the world is wrong, and as such no-one dares to hold him to account.

You can be FSA registered without being qualified to give mortgage advice though cant you?

If hes accountable then everyone who took a 5 year fix when he said to do it when they were just going to do nothing should be able to claim off him. Bet they dont/cant.

Damn it, I was just going to register that!

Maybe I will go for WealthDefendingAdept.com

You get Three Free Threads at my site just for registering :p

That is awful. Legaltenderpreservingtactician flows off the tongue, yours is a mess.

Martin Lewis is definitely not FSA registered.
