I would imagine there are some every worried people at L&C now that Martin has sold out to Moneysupermarket.
I doubt that they would want business going to a competitor no matter what the press release says.

Same goes for some of the other providers that Martin recommends.
It does say that editorial control will remain with Martin. However, there has to be concern that bias will be introduced as MoneySupermarket.com are not the best option in all areas for consumers (if any area - I don't know). Martin could at least previously say things and the viewer/reader had confidence that there was no bias. Now, every time Moneysupermarket are best on something and Martin recommends them then people are going to think the worst.
Still, for £87mill, I doubt there are many that would turn that down.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. Can't help but think of the episode of the Simpsons where Mr Burns said he would never sell his power plant. With an enormous offer from the Germans in his hand (thanks to Homer's throwaway comment) it took him all of half a second to accept it, forget his principals and declare the Germans 'As American as apple pie'
Fair play to Martin Lewis. He has created an £87,000,000 business with 99% of the work done for free by the public. He is giving £10,000,000 to charity and £1,000,000 to the Citizens advice. Should soften the tax blow a little!I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
