I've never understood this idea of not letting staff sit down. Tesco are asking to be sued by people getting varicose veins.0

The staff in our Tescos have seats..."How far you go in life depends on you being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving and tolerant of the weak and the strong. Because someday in life you will have been all of these."0

the staff at our place have seats but i work in a superstore. the 2 express stores near me don't but i think its because the counters are quite wide and when they are not serving customers they stock shelves tidy up etc whereas in a store they tend to stay on the tills.
do you need to sit down at work?0 -
I worked in tesco head office in dundee so not much help there. Our local tesco express does have seats behind the counter but cant say that I have ever noticed anyone using them... as pointed out the staff are much more general than supermarket and so doing a lot more work on their feetAll posts made are simply my own opinions and are neither professional advice nor the opinions of my employers

no i dont need to sit down, it was something that someone had mentioned to me, im aware that when the checkout operators arent doing anything they will go and fill up the shelves, im going to decline the offer from tesco, ive just started my current job and iv just started to get settled in it and get to know people,No Links in Signature by site rules - MSE Forum Team 20 -
