I was wondering that too, on this level of income?
Child benefit £20.30
Higher rate DLA £77.45
This amount of benefits (£433.33) is almost as much as i receive in benefits alone per month, and i've no other income.
I know by experience, it's impossible to receive hb and ctb on on a 3rd of this income. Unless i'm missing something?Debt free - Is it a state of mind? a state of the Universe? or a state of the bank account?

It's kind of a long story that I don't want to air on an Internet forum.
Anyway just looking for advice on saving money not to discuss my full situation .
Have been doing a lot of lidl/ Aldi shopping.
What's the best time to go to asda etc forthe whoopsie deals, any ideas?0 -

Well done on this
Why would you give the vanquis card to your mum and not get rid of it? If it's gone you'd never be tempted to run it up again....DEBT FREE AND PROUD'Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt'0 -
Glad you're starting to see the light on that Vanquis card - hopefully soon you'll progress from wanting to pay it off to wanting to get rid of it completely
Not that I'm stubborn or opinionated or anything but argh get rid of it! :rotfl:
As for the whoopsied stuff, I think you have to go quite near to closing to get the best deals. They usually discount a bit during the day, and then discount by even more later on... although then you have the risk of missing the best stuff.Savings target: £25000/£25000

I can't explain the vanquis haha. Just That I'm loathed to pay., it off completely and not have it available by ploughing every penny into it.
Once I've built up some savings I'll start to concentrate on it I think.
I once went to asda really late and got loaves for 1p. Don't know what time to go again now. I want that bread haha0 -
