There was an advert on the TV for 3 for 1 on Pilgrims cheese at the Co-op several weeks back,
Being disabled I dont get out very often, but went to their store in Harefield, Middlesex especially for this offer as I adore cheese.
I bought the cheese and some other bits and returned home. At home I discovered I had been charged for each of the cheeses.
I emailed both the Co-op customer Services and included a Director on my second email.
I didn't get evn an acknowledgement from anyone, let alone a refund.
As far as I am concerned the Co-op is a rip off company and should not be used if you dont want to spend time checking all your purchases and offers when using the shops.

the 3 for 1 a few weeks back was on wykes farm cheese not pilgrims.

I personally find the co-op good at not over charging for an items, and offers normally do come off the bill...

I have found too that the co-op, dont inflate the prices before they go on offer like some of the big supermarkets...

But I think within a year my local co-op will sadly be gone, as a .t.e.s.c.o opened just before christmas literly a few hundred yards away, and an a.s.d.a store is starting to be built on monday right by our house...and less than 2 minutes away from the co-op....

  • I don't think the Co-Op are a rip off either, they are usually more expensive than most places unless things or on offer but I find that unlike other supermarkets they don't mislead customers quite so much. Well, that's been my experience anyway.

As for freezing the butter, how long can it be used safely for after it's been defrrosted, does anyone know?

Thanks very much again OP, got 6 big tubs of Utterley Butterley and 3 blocks of the cheese and it only cost me £6 after I used my dividend voucher. Very pleased!

Has anyone tried this offer with 3 x of the 30p Pilgrim choice MOC's yet?

I would be interested to know if it takes the 90p off the original price of the cheese, or does it reduce the offer to £4.10 for 3. ;)

  • I got a £1 off cheese voucher today so will try it tomorrow and report back if it works!
They call me Dr Worm... I'm interested in things; I'm not a real doctor but I am a real worm.
  • Well, the voucher value comes off the total, so I got 3 for £4.
I imagine that if the 30p ones do not say "cannot be used with another voucher" that they'll bring the total down to £4.10.
