At co-op at the moment they have a 3 for £5 mix and match on loads of things included at 1Kg tubs of utterly butterly making it £1.66 per kg which is really good (the smaller tubs are usually £1 when on offer this would make it equivilant to 84p)

they also got pilgrims choice mature cheddar 350g on the same offer which would make it £4.76 per kg which i dont think is that bad for this cheese.

Official MoneySavingExpert insert:The Co-op has confirmed that this 3 for £5 offer is on in stores nationwide until Tue 19 Jun 2012. The following are all part of the promotion:

Pilgrims Choice Mature Cheddar 350g; St Ivel Utterly Butterly 1kg; Yoplait Petit Filous; Frubes Fromage Frais Multipack 9x40g; Yoplait Petit Filous Frubes Ltd Edition Multipack 9x40g; Danone Activia Greek Style 4 x 125g - summer berries; Danone Activia Greek Style 4 x 125g – lemon yogurt; Danone Activia Greek Style 4 x 125g – honey yogurt; The Co-operative Fruit Smoothie 1ltr – Pineapple mango and Passion Fruit; The Co-operative Fruit Smoothie 1ltr – Strawberry Blackcurrant and Raspberry.

Thanks to steviedeal for posting.

I could only find the 350g pilgrims cheese on offer for £2, and then 2 for £5 simultaneously in the local shop!

Is the 3 for £5 still supposed to be on? Can't see it here

Yes, I have been freezing Utterly Butterly, when on offer, for years, as it is my husband's favourite and I also bake with it.

    Ah sorry.

I did find it after asking, they had some more stacked away under a different shelf under the special deal of 3 for £5. Even the assistant didn't know to start with but she asked someone else who did. Got nervous on the till as the price of £4 odd came up for each one, but ping £5 in the end.

The sell by date is mid September so not too bad a deal. Three prices in the same shop though, all rather complicated unless you are aware of the deal.

Even better if you have the 30p MOC for pigrims choice, making them just £4.10 for 3 packs.
Will be popping into my coop tomorrow.

Yep, no problem at all. I usually stock up when on offer and have umpteen tubs in my freezer at the moment. When they come back to room temperature they're just as you bought them.

Only thing to remember is to get them 2 - 3 hours before you need them.
  • Thanks this sounds a good offer and I still have £9 of my dividend left too, yay.

I bought 3 packs of cheese, and 3 tubs of the utterly butter stuff, can confirm it isnt well displayed, seems to be trying to promote the other cheese offer, had to ask where it was...

even though we dont use utterly B... at that price i will use it,

And to think i was going to start a fiscal no spend for 4 days to start, and then 7 days.....

also bought loads of reduced meat:cool::D

There was an advert on the TV for 3 for 1 on Pilgrims cheese at the Co-op several weeks back,
Being disabled I dont get out very often, but went to their store in Harefield, Middlesex especially for this offer as I adore cheese.
I bought the cheese and some other bits and returned home. At home I discovered I had been charged for each of the cheeses.
I emailed both the Co-op customer Services and included a Director on my second email.
I didn't get evn an acknowledgement from anyone, let alone a refund.
As far as I am concerned the Co-op is a rip off company and should not be used if you dont want to spend time checking all your purchases and offers when using the shops.
