Blocked numbers

Hi Guys,

Just wondered whether anyone of you ever received a winning call from a blocked number as I just received a few calls, but did not answer them (out of principle).Of course I am curious, but do not want scammers to waste my precious time.
So what do you think?

Many Thanks

Could be a win (they do ring off witheld from time to time) or it could be marketing. No way to know unless you answer or they leave a message

Yes! I've won a phone and a couple of other substantial wins off blocked numbers, often its someone ringing on their way home from work and therefore on their mobile (which they wouldn't want to give out obvs)

I'd pick it up! You can always just cut them off if its rubbish! :) x

p.s. The postcode lottery do often ring using a blocked number I've found when they're trying to get you to subscribe, so if you've ever entered any of their competitions, get the red button at the ready! HTH

Yes, when I won my Citroen DS3 it was a blocked number. I nearly didn't answer it :rotfl:

I now ALWAYS answer a blocked number :D

Yes I won a prize from Metro from a blocked number. It was a £400 shopping voucher so definitely worth answering!

I don't think a blocked number would put me off. It could well be marketing, but could also be a legit call from a large company, where outwards calls are auto blocked. Also, don't want to raise your hopes, but if they are calling you several times in a short period, that might make me think it could be a win. Marketing can be persistent, but not usually in such a short space of time in my experience.

    Fings crossed for you

I won some Rugby League tickets from a local newpaper last weekend. This came from a blocked number.
