Court fine

Hi guys
My sister in law who is 17 received a £30 fine a while back and had asked for a card which could be used to pay it. She didn't receive a card and, so she says has had no letters from court or anybody else.
Today, while she was looking after my daughter a bailiff called and advised that she now owes £330.
I am happy to give her £30 for the fine as she does not work or get any income but does anyone know if the court will take this and recall it from the DCA or has she just got to learn a very expensive lesson?
Thanks in advance

Not at all my area of expertise but surely bailiffs cannot chase under 18's...even magistrate court fines?
I've done a quick search and can't find anything. Sorry I can't be more help!0 -
There is some information here that may help
justice.gov.uk/downloads/courts/bailiffs-enforcement-officers/national-standards-enforcement-agents .pdf [take the space out at the end and add www before]
and some contacts at the back who may be able to help further.
IMHO bailiffs are allowed to add costs on, the costs i think are capped/stipulated. I think it is something like £xxx for taking over recovery £xx per letter and £xxx per visit.
If they left details then the best thing to do is phone them and ask them, calmly and politely. You dont necessarily need to go into details specifically explain you are looking to help someone out and you dont want them to by twirling you by telling you they need more than is being requested.
I am familiar with a case where a chap got a £30 fine for not wearing his seatbelt, which turned into £680 after dodging it for 3-4 years, but they got him in the end.0
