Lump sum pension coming

Hi,
I am very slowly paying off a debt to Barclaycard and I'm due for a lump sum Barclays pension pay out soon. I wondered if Barclaycard have the right to take the amount owed direct from my pension? I would be grateful for any advice. Many thanks in advance.

Bumpety bump for the OP
Usually I would say it would depend on whether it was paid into a bank which was linked to Barclaycard but if the pensions from Barclays could they take if straight off this?Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

I wouldn't have thought so, as the are such separate arms of the bank. I wouldn't have thought they share the same database, or even if they do, would cross reference.
What does everyone else think?Make £2020 in 2020 £178.81/£2020

Barbeduk congrats! Just noticed your sig as I was reading your reply (sorry OP!) - and well in advance of schedule!!
Barclaycard have been known to offset a Barclays account as they are linked organisations (ETA both part of Barclays plc) which is what I was concerned about when I posted beforeGrocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
