black trousers

Hi,

I bought marks and spencers black chinos trousers. They are very comfortable but they fade very easily! It is not "black" anymore!

What do you advise for high quality black trousers for men - smart casual.....

Many thanks

When you buy new black trousers wash them inside out with a liquid wash for dark colours, this help to prevent the fading you have experienced.

I don't think it has anything to do with where you bought the trousers or the make. All black dyes fade when washing.

    Hi,

Do what I do when Black clothes start to fade & Buy a box of Black machine dye.
Stick all your fading Black clothes in together & Hey presto they all come out looking new.

I've been doing it for years with everything from T shirts to underwear - very MSE:)

Dylon is very good, depends on the material you are dyeing though.

DYLON - They do an "all in one" pouch thing (you need to add salt to the one in the little box). Its costs between £4 & £5 (If I remember correctly)
& theres enough to do several items at once - As you are not actually Dyeing stuff, just reviving, you can do more stuff than the box states.

Just remember to let your machine run an empty cycle afterwards (I add a bit of bleach) just to be sure any dye residue is gone !!

Being an avid wearer of all things black I must have saved a fortune over the years with this method - Clothes do come out looking almost like new.................

Do I first have to wash the trousers inside out then dye it the normal way? or can I "wash and dye" at the same time?

    thanks

If I rember correctly the clothes should be damp before you start dyeing - Just do a normal quick wash, then chuck in the dye :)
