Anyone interested in buying a business

Just heard that our local old fashioned sweet shop is up for sale if anyone is interested?

It's one of those old quaint ones that sells sweets out of jars on Poole Quay.

Truly Scrumptious is the name, but I don't have a number for them though.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Would it be for sale if it was making a ton of money?

Sadly I think the days of the town centre are numbered. We have lost some big familiar names over the past few years, and often rents and business rates mean that the little guys can't afford to keep going or step in. My town centre is increasingly filling up with charity shops, £ shops and empty shops.. and that's an affluent town in the South East!

No its not. Its a town which has been living beyond their means on a line of credit that has come to an end.

I live Oop Norf in the poor part of the country. None of this has happened in my town. No pound shops here, only a couple of charity shops which have been here for well over a decade.

Apparently the woman is moving away from Poole, but I don't know any other details

I'll pass on buying the shop thanks but I do really fancy some sweets from jars now. Maybe some lemon bon bons, cola bottles or space dust.

I assume that as you know it is for sale, the staff do too?
:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.

I'd probably buy it, lock the doors and eat all the sweeties :(

I would presume so. I overheard the woman saying it to a customer who was standing on the other side of the counter and she didn't stop when I walked in.
