Hi There
My X and I am just trying to sort out our divorce and the only thing that is a thorn in our side is that she is on the mortgage and we have a bankruptcy.
We are happy with all financial issues but how do we get round this one. Nearly 2 yrs since discharge.
Wanted to do the D through the courts ourselves as its on only £400 and all solicitors want £1100+ vat + £150-£200 per hour for the financial part, ones we have spoke to say they need to look into this.... That sounds costly... Is there a solicitor that specialises in this area? Can we do it all ourselves through the courts so we have no regress on each other in the future.
Spoke to our lender before and they where not happy to take her off the mortgage as they say they can go after her if I default.... The house was part of the BR so they have no regress on either of us.
Do we leave her on and then state something on the paperwork that she has to be taken off in X amount of years etc etc
Hope I have made sense any help, advice, recommendations or web sites please say
