Mortgage valuation report shows lack of fire separation

I have just had a copy of the report from my mortage company.
It shows some damp readings in limited areas which should be monitored and a lack of fire separation in the loft space.
If my building soc proceed to offer of mortgage I am thinking of asking for the fire separation to be rectified before continuing. The house was refurbed by the current owners and bought as a doer-upper by them specifically to sell on so I think they would be in a position to sort this.
The damp is probably due to it being unoccupied for a couple of years, but should I investigate further?
Any advice is welcome,
Thanks,
Kel.

A lot of houses dont have it.
Its nothing to worry about as such, just a case of a few breeze blocks/bricks in the loft. By all means ask for it but i wouldnt let it be a deal breaker if your happy with the purchase price and house.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Thanks for that. Just home buying jitters.
Just waiting to hear if the Leeds will now make a mortgage offer.
