Paid in Euros, help

First Post, wonder if anyone can help....

I've recently taken a short term job in Europe and get my wages in Euros. With the euro being so weak at the moment, i have noticed I am getting paid less and less each month into my UK Bank Account.

Is there anything I can do, besides get paid in another currency ??

Get paid into a Euro account and then convert when rate is better (obviously risky in the circumstances)

If you were to be paid in GBP then they would convert it just as you are, or else it would mean giving you a pay rise.

Like dazza said you could wait until the exchange rate improves, but that doesn't look like it's going to happen any time soon, I'm afraid you've just been unfortunate.

Check if your UK bank is applying fees to the conversion. If they are you might want to change bank, although if it's a short-term job it may not be worth it.
