Help with a personal loan
Options
Hello
Can anyone point me towards any companies that do not require a guarantor and might be willing to accept my loan application? The internet is full of brokers and confusing websites that want to take fees and you end up with dozens of people calling you who can't help.
I am looking for a £1000 loan and can afford repayments over a 12 month period of about £160 or less.
I am on benefits for the long term and receive £800 a month for the long-term.
I am on a debt management plan (to clear up mainly payday loans) but would really be boosted with a £1000 loan over 12 months and could pay it back. My credit history is probably quite poor but I have no CCJs or bankruptcy or anything like that. I don't own a home and live with parents and have no children.
I just want a company that can lend me the money despite me being unemployed and that sees I still get a regular income.
Thanks.

well no
if you are on a DMP then your credit files will be trashed
You haven't givrn the facts about your debts or expenses but if you only owe 1,000 and are living at home on 800 pm why can't you pay the debts from your income?0 -
What do you do with your £800 (tax free?) income a month.
If you live at home surely you can save a good few hundred a month and have a grand in no time.Thinking critically since 1996....0 -
Why are you on a DMP if you have so much disposable income?
Can we assume you lied throughout entering your DMP?
The DMP was supposed to leave you with bare essentials, it is not an excuse for people like you to carry on borrowing.0 -

Whats the loan for ?
You really expect a lender to lend you £1k ?
Surely if your on a DMP you shouldnt be borrowing more money, your on a DMP for a reason so why put yourself back into the mire.0 -
No chance .poppy100

I pressume it is in the DMP t&c you shouldn't apply for more credit and it is a pity this sort of crazy notion alone doesn't get your agreement terminated (you really want to be left on your own dealing with the PDLS?) - thats what you'll be risking
perhaps then people who desperately want DMP's and help might get more of a look in
I didn't know living on bens could be so good0 -
It's like a drug isn't it?
You've already been given a solution for the last time you let it get out of control but now you're at it again....just one more....please.....I know I can handle it....it will be the last time I promise......
Whatever it is you are so desperate for....START SAVING FOR IT AND STOP TRYING TO BORROW MORE MONEY !0 -
Why aren't you paying the £160 you can afford into your dmp?0

I hope this is a troll. If not, I'm sorry OP, but you shouldn't be allowed out on your own. You would be given a boost with £1k? A boost for what? Paying debt or buying stuff?
On a DMP you are not permitted to obtain more credit or it invalidates the agreement. If you have £160 disposable income after bills and food etc, then save it towards make full and final settlements. Taking on debt to get out of debt doesn't work. Unemployed, on an DMP with no recoverable assets - I don't think the banks would touch that with a bargepole.
Perhaps you could reconsider your current situation with regard to the DLA (I assumed from the amount, your age and the long-term nature). If you qualify for DLA at that level, then you may be eligible for work programmes. Could you get a job, with support? Some days, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps....
