    Hi

You need to make a note of the date/time of all calls. This company should not have spoken to your manager. Did they tell your manager why they were calling?

You need to demonstrate that the number of calls is unreasonable and harrassment. Once you have this evidence you can take things further.

You also need to send them a letter, asking for phonecalls at your workplace to stop and that all correspondance should be in writing.

Many thanks for the reply they have called 5 times today luckily my manager is a good friend and he knows my situation so he told them I cannot take personal calls and not to call again as it is a business line,

I responded to the email and advised if they continue to contact me at work I will take it further but not sure who or where I can take it further to :(

    Report them to the OFT.

if you write and tell them to remove the workplace number from their records and they still ring, then you can report them to the Information Commisioner for breach of the DPA.
If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing

E-mail is irrelevant in law. You have to write.

OK, first of all, they are not allowed to contact you at work because it's classed as conduct likely to cause embarrassment or distress. They are effectively telegraphing your personal affairs for all to see and it's frankly harassment.

You need to WRITE a letter stating that you are in a DMP with CCCS and you regard their behaviour to be entirely against OFT rules. You will not enter into verbal communication on this subject and you will not deviate from the plan set down and agreed with CCCS. They can pursue you all they wish, but you view this as harrassment and to that end, you have sent an official complaint to the OFT. You withdraw the right of implied access to your property and you will not tolerate their behaviour any more. Copy to OFT and then ignore them.

You're not the one who should be embarrassed. The sigh was for the utter mind-boggling incompetence of the staff at these companies.

FORMAL COMPLAINT - HARASSMENT BY TELEPHONE.

    Account Number's :

    Dear Sirs,
I am writing in relation to the quantity and frequency of telephone calls that I have received from your company, which I deem to be personally harassing. I am 7 months pregnant and find it incredibly stressful being harrassed like this. This morning i recieved one at 8.20am, whilst trying to et my children ready for school! The amount of calls per day is rediculous, even after i speak to someone i recieve another 5,6,7 per day! Does your company not keep a record of when you have called a person and spoken to them or do you operate on a harrass someone till they break policy??
I have verbally requested numerous times that these stop, but I am still receiving calls.
I now require all further correspondence from your company to be made in writing only.
I am of the view that your continued harassment of me by telephone puts you in breach of The Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008, and the Protection from Harassment Act 1997. If you continue to harass me by telephone, you will also be in breach of the Communications Act (2003) s.127 and I will report you to OFCOM, Trading Standards and The Office of Fair Trading, meaning that you will be liable to a substantial fine.
Please treat this also as a formal complaint under the procedures set out by the Financial Ombudsman (FOS). As such, you are required to send me a copy of your company complaints procedure.
Furthermore, please note that the FOS consider it 'unfair' for you to continue with phone calls when requested not to do so. Also the OFT consider it an unfair practice for you to ignore my legitimate wishes on how to contact me, for example where the debtor requests contact only via written letter or email, so I now demand that you cease any phone calls forthwith.
Be advised that any further telephone calls from your company will be recorded.
This issue is not negotiable. Any further phone calls will be logged, treated as harassment and reported to the authorities as such.

    Yours faithfully,
