i've got a recipe and i have no idea how to make it in the slow cooker or what weight of lentils to use.been meaning to make the soup for a few weeks and only just realised today that's it's for a pressure cooker......1 packet bacon (as lean as possible - usually 6 or 8 slices (currently BOGOF in Tesco)1 onion,3 carrots,1 Ham stock cube.lentils.roughly chop carrots, onion and bacon.Chuck in pressure cooker with as much water as you think is ok.Add the stock cube.start heating the pressure cooker while rinsing the lentils (don't know weight but I use about half a pint in the measuring jug)Add lentils to soup, put top on pressure cooker and cook on highest pressure for 20 minsWhizz with a hand blender.

You usually only fill a preasure cooker a third of the way up. Mines roughly about 2 pints to this point when making stock.
I would try it with 2 or 3 pints, enough to cover everything and add more if you find you need it.
I also would add more than 1 stock cube. I mix mine with hot water so its disolved when it starts cooking.£2 Coins Savings Club 2012 is £4.............................NCFC member No: 00005.........

About 4-6ozs of green lentils. If it is too thick you can use more stock to thin it down.'You can't change the past, you can only change the future' Gary Boulet.
